How It Works

Sunless tanning products have been around for years now, but they've come with mixed results. Self-tanners can leave you streaky, splotchy, or orange. Inferior spray tan booths available all over Houston can do the same. At Eclipse Sunless Tanning, we use Dr. Laughlin's Mist-On System - the most technologically advanced system with the highest quality solutions. Simply stated, our system is "hands down" the best by far. Don't be fooled by salons that offer sunless tanning as a gimmick! Sunless tanning is all we do, so we do it right!

The first step is preparation. If you have long hair, you'll want to put it up in a hairnet, which is provided for you. Secondly, if you're wearing make-up, you'll want to remove it. Finally, in order to keep your hands and feet from becoming too dark, you'll apply a light coat of barrier cream to you hands and feet and a generous coat on fingernails and toenails. Now you're ready to step into the Mist-On booth.

With the Mist-On System, you step into a booth that remains open on one side. Once inside, you press a button, stand in four different poses facing the front, back, and each side while you are covered by a very fine mist of sunless tanning solution from head to toe. The mist is very fine and you're virtually dry when you step out - no running or streaking.

After being sprayed on all four sides (less than 60 seconds), you simply step out, buff off gently with a towel and you're ready to get dressed and go. That's all there is to it!

You'll see color immediately upon stepping out of the Mist-On booth. That color is from the bronzer in the solution. The bronzer is there partially to give you some immediate color, but more importantly so that you can see that you got good even coverage with no trouble spots. Over the next twelve or more hours, your long-lasting tan will develop. After tanning, you'll want to wait six hours before showering or working out. That gives the tanning solution time to do the bulk of its development. When you shower, the bronzer will wash off and you'll be left with a golden bronze tan that should last for about 5-7 days.
